I got hooked on Construction and Architecture as a teenager when I saw the blueprints for San Francisco's TransAmerica Pyramid. My family's business had a huge part in making that structure happen. They did the structural steel detailing and field inspections of the project.
Though my one-summer stint didn't lead me to join the business, I did see plenty of blueprints of exciting projects like the Coronado Bay Bridge in San Diego and the International Hotel in Las Vegas--also known as the Las Vegas Hilton and now known as the Westgate. That led to an appreciation of construction, architecture and interior design which now carries through to the ability to see how these projects would be best photographed.
I've added to my skill set by becoming an FAA certified sUAS (drone) pilot and specializing in construction sites, architecture and interiors.
There's just nothing better than walking a construction site or a finished project and seeing the best angle to shoot!
