Mackenzie brought several outfits and accessories with her, as I always suggest for a headshot creative session, and she chose this image for Channel 3′s website and lobby photo.

I was recently hired to photograph a high-end shoe store in Caesar’s Forum shops.  After listening to their needs and looking at the space in advance of the session, I spent an afternoon working on beautiful setups and angles.   With the store manager and staff, we would move products around as needed to show them off as well use the space really well.   I looked through the camera many times to see the shot as it was coming along and had the store staff look through the camera too.  When I offered that, the assistant asked me, “does it really look different through there?”  After she looked her eyes were huge and said, “wow, that’s a great shot!”

When the images were done, I went back to my studio and did some fine-tuning on the images.  The images needed to be viewed from the corporate office, which happens to be in Italy.  It turns out time was running fast as they needed the images for a press release first thing in the morning.   They said, “Just pick the best five shots of the exterior and interior of the store and send them to us. We trust you.”  They hadn’t even seen the images they were about to purchase and use worldwide.

Well, the happy ending is that they L-O-V-E-D the images and said they were perfect!
